Teacher’s day is celebrated every year on 05th September on the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan to honour and appreciate teachers for their valuable contribution toward education. Students of Grades I-III exhibited their talents as a tribute to their teachers.
International Indian Public School celebrated Teacher’s Day with zeal and zest. There was an unusual excitement in the school atmosphere which was quite contagious.
A special assembly was conducted by the Grade-III students. Talha from III-E, Saima Imam from Grade II-C and Khalid Fayaz from Grade III-B delivered a speech in which the student paid homage to their teachers through poems, speeches and messages of love and appreciation. They also expressed their gratitude and paid respect to all the teachers who worked hard to ensure their student’s excellence in academics as well as extra-curricular activities.
This was followed by an interesting speech by the Principal of I.I.P.S Mr. Mohammad Imran, who spoke about the significance of Teacher’s Day and the role of teachers in every student’s life.
Later the students of Grades IX-XII took over the duties of teachers for the day. The Principal, of I.I.P.S Mr. Mohammad Imran, addressing the entire school, lauded the entire staff for their exemplary contribution to the school’s phenomenal success. Students greeted their teachers with personalized handmade cards and some chose to say it with flowers. The celebration was concluded by giving away the certificates of appreciation to the entire staff of I.I.P.S by the Principal Mr. Mohammad Imran.
These activities helped to strengthen the bond between teachers and students. All in all, it was a special day for teachers as well as students.
