A breathtaking four day Adventure Guides Camp organized by Bharat Scouts and Guides, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was held at Al Janoub International School, Abha from 16th November 2017 to 19th November 2017. More than 140 Guides and 20 escorting teaches from various CBSE schools in Saudi Arabia attended the thrilling camp.

As the theme of the camp “Scaling New Heights” suggested, various enthralling activities like hiking, trekking, pioneering and enriching our environment by planting trees were carried out by the zealous Guides. The campfires held every night enabled the students to showcase their spectacular skills and caliber. Being the first guides only camp organized by the Saudi Arabia the girls from across the kingdom got an opportunity to step out of their cocoons and got to learn the ways of a social, independent and disciplined life. It included sessions on the principles of Guiding, disaster management, first-aid, service to humanity, and mainly emphasized on the ultimate motto of the guiding movement i.e. “BE PREPARED”. Besides, the camp also provided a platform to all the students to live in harmony and overcome their inhibitions to develop into strong and confident human beings. Hence, the students were enlightened about core values such as a healthy life gained through fervent physical exercises for the holistic development which enhances the body, mind and soul.
