INTER SCHOOL CRICKET TOURNAMENT (T-20) of under 17 for academic year 2019-2020

Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) organized an INTER SCHOOL CRICKET TOURNAMENT (T-20 Under 17). Seven international schools of different nationalities participated in the Tournament.

The Tournament was played on league cum knock-out-basis. IIPSR played five league matches before qualifying for the semifinals. They won three matches and lost two matches against Pakistan International School and DPS. In the semifinals, IIPSR defeated DPS by six wickets and qualified for the finals.

Finals were held On Saturday, 27 April 2019 between International Indian Public School Riyadh (IIPSR) and Pakistan International School, Riyadh (PISR). There was a huge crowd of students and parents who had gathered in the RCL cricket ground to cheer their respective teams. PISR won the toss and elected to bat.

A brief score of finals:

PISR – 166/5 in 20 overs

For IIPSR Varun took two wickets, Prajwal and Roshan took one wicket each. Roshan bowled extremely well.

IIPSR – 168/2 in 18.4 overs. Varun 30 not out, Ahad-23, Nigel 18 runs, and Shaswat scored 53 not out.

International Indian Public School Riyadh (IIPSR) won the Inter-School Cricket Tournament by 8 wickets.

Principal Mr. Mohammad Imran and the Managing Committee congratulated IIPSR team and appreciated the efforts put by our coach Mr. Jamal.
