Public Speaking Competition for Grade IV & V

Dear Parents,

All round development of the students is not only limited to academic endeavors, but it also demands the enhancement of communication skills. Effective and impressive skills at Public Speaking, is inevitable in today’s education. Unfortunately most of the students feel nervous and panic at the crucial moment. Hence, do not tend to participate and polish the public speaking skills. It is apparently one of the most feared experiences with many. The best way to alleviate these fears is to start training them at an early stage. So with a vision to enhance and pioneer the public speaking skills in our students, we have organized ‘Public Speaking Competition’.

Kindly note that it is an oral competition. The students need to prepare their own speech on the topic given below and present it within the stipulated time. The time allotted for each speaker is 3 minutes with a grace period of 10 seconds.

 

For Grade V- Monday, 03 December 2018

  • Topic: ‘Characteristics of an Ideal Leader ’

 

Public Speaking competition for grade IV Scheduled on Tuesday, 04 December 2018 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, 05 December 2018 in view of International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) Examination.

 

For Grade IV – Wednesday, 05 December 2018

  • Topic: ‘Importance of Discipline in Our Life’

.

 

The students will be judged based on the following criteria:

  1. Presentation and Confidence            2. Content
  2. Use of language                                4. Voice modulation
  3. Body Language and Eye Contact
