International Indian Public School, Riyadh

The school Library is the information base of the school. It serves as a point of voluntary access to information and ideas and equally as a learning laboratory for the students as they acquire critical thinking and pluralistic society. Good school librarians work closely with teachers to integrate information seeking and use activities into curriculum units that are designed to deliver content as well as to equip students to locate, evaluate, and use effectively and efficiently a broad range of resources: print, audio, video, tactile and new electronic data systems.

International Indian Public School- Riyadh has individual libraries for the girls section and boys section which cater to the needs of the students from class Nursery to Senior Secondary.IIPS libraries are devoted to the specific needs of the students with a collection of 10000 books with the number increasing with each passing day, which include text books, reference books, story books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, periodicals and newspapers. The libraries have sections ranging from text books to fiction and general knowledge. Since the school aims at making learning a fun process, we have this wide range of collection which adheres to the various interests of the students.

Audios and Videos

Our libraries have books available on CDs, audio cassettes and good collection of videos for students’ use which is always growing.

Library Hours

The libraries are open from 7:30am to 2:00 pm. The libraries are closed during school vacations and weekend.

Computer Facilities

Computers are available for browsing online books. High resolution projectors and large screens for computer presentations and demonstrations are also available.

Our Policies

In case of losing a book the reader has to pay the cost of the book or replace the same title.

Borrowers must satisfy themselves about the physical condition of the books before borrowing or else they shall be held responsible for any damage or mutilation noticed at the time of returning.

Reference books, magazines and periodical publications are to be read in the library only.

Our Policies Student Access to the Library

The school libraries are open to all IIPS students as well as teachers of the school. All classes are provided with at least one library period per week. Higher class students may come to the library during their study period. Books are issued for one week only.
